Reading Ambassadors

Our  Reading Ambassadors have been elected by each class. Their job is to promote reading and maintain the classroom library areas. Watch this space to see all the things they get up to this year!

To celebrate World Book Day,  we invited all families to create a Reading River, recording their reading journey through the years.

We were so impressed with all of them! Can you spot yours?

Class Christmas and Birthday Book Wish Lists

In our Parent’s Survey last July, several parents commented that they were not sure what books to buy to encourage their children to read. Our Reading Ambassadors were set the task to compile Book Wish Lists with their class. Children were asked to suggest a book that they had read and enjoyed that might appeal to their classmates.

For more inspiration for presents that will get your child reading, have a look at the following.

The first job of the reading ambassadors is to maintain and help promote our new class libraries and reading corners. See them in the slideshow below - I'm sure you will agree they look fantastic!

We had a competition to design a character to promote reading around school. These are some of the fabulous entries. Watch this space for the one that the Year 5/6 Reading Ambassadors chose...
