Are you ready to take the Platinum Jubilee Challenge? Can you read a book from every decade of the Queen's Reign? Don't forget to post your completed entry into the Union Jack Box in the entrance to school by June 1st to enter our prize draw! See below for some ideas of books to try and to download a sheet. Happy Reading!
Class Christmas and Birthday Book Wish Lists
In our Parent’s Survey last July, several parents commented that they were not sure what books to buy to encourage their children to read. Our Reading Ambassadors were set the task to compile Book Wish Lists with their class. Children were asked to suggest a book that they had read and enjoyed that might appeal to their classmates.

We hope these will give you inspiration to keep buying books as gifts!
To celebrate World Book Day, the Reading Ambassadors want to tell you about their favourite books.
The first job of the reading ambassadors is to maintain and help promote our new class libraries and reading corners. See them in the slideshow below - I'm sure you will agree they look fantastic!
For World Book Day, classes were invited to "Bling" their book corners. Congratulations to Reception. Reading Ambassadors awarded them the coveted trophy for their amazing Book Corner Castle!
There were some fantastic ideas ranging from story boxes in Year 1 to "Masked Readers" in Year 5.
Well done to everyone!
We had a competition to design a character to promote reading around school. These are some of the fabulous entries. Watch this space for the one that the Year 5/6 Reading Ambassadors chose...
